Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Sleeping Queen online raffle draw (the "Draw"). By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, or participating in the Draw, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
Participation is limited to individuals who:
- Are at least 19 years of age
- Are residents of Prince Edward Island, Canada
- Have created a verified account
- Have confirmed eligibility requirements
- Have provided a valid mobile phone number
The organizer reserves the right to refuse or cancel participation for any user who does not meet eligibility requirements.
2. Ticket Purchases
Each ticket costs $5.00 CAD. Ticket prices are final and no additional tax is added.
All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued except where required by law or in the event the Draw is cancelled.
A maximum of 10 tickets per user per draw may be purchased.
3. Draw Schedule
Draws are normally held on Tuesday and Saturday at 2:00 PM Atlantic Time, unless otherwise announced.
The organizer reserves the right to change draw times, postpone a draw, or cancel a draw if necessary.
4. Selection Process
At the scheduled draw time, one eligible ticket will be randomly selected.
The selected player will receive an SMS message containing a secure link to the game board.
The selected player has ten (10) minutes to choose one card.
If the player does not select a card within the time limit, the system will automatically select a card on their behalf.
5. Winning and Payouts
If the Queen of Hearts is selected, the jackpot will be awarded to the selected player.
If any other card is selected, a weekly prize may be awarded as determined by the rules of the Draw, and the remaining funds will carry forward to the next draw.
Prize amounts are calculated based on total ticket sales for the draw, less applicable expenses as permitted by the licensing authority.
6. Cancellation
A draw may be cancelled if there are no eligible paid tickets, if a technical issue prevents the draw from proceeding, or if required by the licensing authority.
In the event of cancellation, ticket purchases may be applied to the next available draw or refunded at the organizer’s discretion.
7. Account Responsibility
Users are responsible for maintaining accurate account information.
The organizer is not responsible for missed SMS messages caused by incorrect phone numbers, mobile carrier issues, or user error.
8. Technical Issues
The organizer is not responsible for interruptions, delays, or errors caused by internet outages, device issues, or third-party services.
If a technical problem occurs, the organizer may delay, cancel, or restart the draw.
9. Privacy and SMS Consent
By creating an account, you consent to receive SMS messages related to draw selection, account verification, and important notifications.
Personal information is used only for the operation of the Draw and will not be sold or shared except as required by law.
10. Licensing and Compliance
This raffle is conducted under license issued by the appropriate provincial authority.
All draws are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and licensing requirements.
11. Limitation of Liability
The organizer shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from participation in the Draw except where required by law.
12. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the system constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Prince Edward Island and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
